My Approach

Starting with careful listening, I will try to gain an understanding of your life and circumstances as you see them. My approach is collaborative: answers, instructions and solutions are not provided.

With adults and adolescents, I mainly use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). This includes mindfulness and values-based action. The goal is to build psychological flexibility, and create a unique and meaningful life. Recognising that no two individuals are alike, I take an integrative approach, drawing on a variety of strategies depending on the needs of my client.

With children (and some adults), I use more creative methods of communication, such as play, drawing, or role-playing. Again, the goal is to build resilience and promote growth.
